Chevelle

A-body muscle, held to the road.

Chevelle culture grew up on Rally wheels and big-block torque. Our forged designs keep that late-sixties honesty while adding the width, clearance, and strength a driven Chevelle actually needs.

A piece of history
In nine years Chevrolet gave the Chevelle at least three different wheel identities — dog-dish caps, the five-slot Rally wheel from 1967, then the 14×7 five-spoke SS wheel in 1970. The factory never settled on one answer, which is why changing a Chevelle's wheels has never felt like a betrayal. We only build them stronger than 1970 could.

The lineage

What It Rolled On.

  1. 1964 Dog-dish capsPainted steel and a chrome cap over the center. The wheel was something to cover up.
  2. 1967 The Rally wheelFive slots, a trim ring, a center cap. The first one the factory designed to be looked at.
  3. 1970 The SS five-spokeFourteen by seven — the widest the factory ever went under an A-body.

The community

One Car, Many Worlds.

Ask ten Chevelle owners what one should be, and you'll get ten answers.

  1. Matching Numbers

    Matching Numbers

For the restorer who reads a cowl tag like a letter from home and would sooner leave a car unfinished than fake a date code — we hold our own work to that same burden of proof.

  2. Day 2

    Day 2

For the owner who keeps the car the way the first speed shop left it in 1970 — period wheels, a gentle rake, nothing anachronistic — we speak that language, just rendered in modern metal.

  3. Pro-Touring

    Pro-Touring

For the builder who wants his Chevelle to stop and corner as honestly as it looks, we work out brake clearance and backspacing first, so the engineering disappears behind the sheetmetal.

  4. Street & Strip

    Street & Strip

For the big-block street car with drag-strip roots, we honor the heritage and build for the street — the timeslip is a story the car already earned.

  5. Restomod Cruiser

    Restomod Cruiser

For the owner who wants to drive it anywhere — overdrive, cold air, a subtle drop — we build the classic look to live at modern speeds without asking you to cut the car apart.

How Our Wheels Are Made

Forged From a Single Block.

In the 1960s, a wheel left the factory as stamped steel — pressed in pieces, welded together, dressed up with a hubcap. It was the best the era could build. Every VFW wheel starts differently: one solid block of forged aluminum, shaped under pressure and machined to tolerances that didn't exist back then. Same soul. Stronger metal.

  1. A solid aluminum billet standing on a steel workbench before forging

    One Solid Block

Every wheel begins as a single solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminum. No welds, no seams, no separate pieces — the entire wheel is in that block.

  2. A forging press compressing an aluminum blank between steel dies

    Forged Under Pressure

A forging press works the billet under thousands of tons of pressure — aligning the metal's grain and closing the voids a casting leaves behind. Heat treatment locks in that strength.

  3. A Stripper 17-inch wheel being machined on a CNC lathe, aluminum chips curling off the cut

    Machined to Fit Your Car

CNC machines cut the final form — bolt pattern, backspacing, and profile matched to the fitment we confirm with you first.

  4. A polished Stripper 17-inch forged wheel on the inspection bench beside a micrometer and dial gauge

    Finished and Inspected

Balanced, inspected, and finished to order. Then it's crated, insured, and on its way to your garage.
