Impala

Full-size presence. SS restraint.

From '58 cruisers to the '64 icon, the Impala wore hubcaps and spinner covers over stamped steel. The wheels we're building honor that language — full-size presence, Super Sport restraint — engineered for how these cars roll today.

A piece of history
The 1961 Super Sport package cost $53.80, and part of what you got for the money was a set of spinner wheel covers — because underneath sat a plain stamped-steel rim nobody was meant to see. For sixty years the Impala's most famous wheel has been a cap. We build the wheel.

The community

One Car, Many Worlds.

Ask ten Impala owners what one should be, and you'll get ten answers.

  1. Super Sport

    Super Sport

For the Super Sport faithful, the details decide everything — the right stance, the spinner wheel covers, the 409 badge that still means something sixty years on — and we build to that factory-correct eye, never against it.

  2. The Strip

    The Strip

Before the muscle car even had a name, full-size Chevys were staging at the strip — the 409 made the Impala a Super Stock legend — and here's to everyone still chasing a clean quarter-mile.

  3. Boulevard Cruiser

    Boulevard Cruiser

Some Impalas are meant to be seen, slowly — cruise nights, a long roll down Main Street, family in the back seat — and for that car we keep the soul and fix the fitment.

  4. The Lowrider Tradition

    The Lowrider Tradition

No car carries the lowrider tradition like the '64 Impala. It began with Mexican-American builders in southern California, Texas and northern New Mexico, and it has traveled a long way since — bajito y suavecito, low and slow. That tradition, wherever it's kept, we hold in the highest respect.

  5. Restomod

    Restomod

The restomod builder wants both worlds — vintage lines that stop a room, modern corners that keep up with anything — and we engineer for the Impala that finally handles the way it looks.

How Our Wheels Are Made

Forged From a Single Block.

In the 1960s, a wheel left the factory as stamped steel — pressed in pieces, welded together, dressed up with a hubcap. It was the best the era could build. Every VFW wheel starts differently: one solid block of forged aluminum, shaped under pressure and machined to tolerances that didn't exist back then. Same soul. Stronger metal.

  1. A solid aluminum billet standing on a steel workbench before forging

    One Solid Block

Every wheel begins as a single solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminum. No welds, no seams, no separate pieces — the entire wheel is in that block.

  2. A forging press compressing an aluminum blank between steel dies

    Forged Under Pressure

A forging press works the billet under thousands of tons of pressure — aligning the metal's grain and closing the voids a casting leaves behind. Heat treatment locks in that strength.

  3. A Stripper 17-inch wheel being machined on a CNC lathe, aluminum chips curling off the cut

    Machined to Fit Your Car

CNC machines cut the final form — bolt pattern, backspacing, and profile matched to the fitment we confirm with you first.

  4. A polished Stripper 17-inch forged wheel on the inspection bench beside a micrometer and dial gauge

    Finished and Inspected

Balanced, inspected, and finished to order. Then it's crated, insured, and on its way to your garage.
