Terms of service

Last updated: August 8, 2026

These terms cover your use of vintageforgedwheels.com and anything you buy from us. "We," "us," and "VFW" mean Vintage Forged Wheels LLC, a California limited liability company. "You" means you, the person using the site or placing an order.

We have tried to write these in plain English rather than the usual wall of capital letters. Please read them. If you place an order, you are agreeing to them.

1. Who can order

You need to be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You agree that the information you give us at checkout is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method you enter.

2. What we sell

We sell forged wheels and related accessories for classic American cars. Nearly all of our wheels are built to order: manufacturing begins after you purchase, to the specifications on your order.

We do our best to show our products accurately, but photographs, renderings, and finish samples are illustrative. Screens vary, light varies, and hand-applied finishes vary slightly between runs. Section 6 of our Refund Policy covers what counts as normal variation and what counts as a defect.

Product availability, specifications, and pricing can change without notice. We may correct errors in pricing or product information, and we may decline or cancel an order, including where a listing contained an obvious pricing or specification error. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, you get a full refund.

3. Fitment

This section matters more than any other, so we want to be direct about it.

We do not guarantee fitment, and we would be careful with anyone in this industry who does. A wheel is meeting a car that may have been modified for half a century by people neither of us has ever met. Ride height, rear end, brakes, fenders, control arms, and tire choice all move the target.

What we do instead is confirm it with you. You tell us what is on the car and send photos, we work through the specifications together, and we give you a recommendation we can stand behind. That process is how the right set ends up on the right car, and it is why we ask every customer to use it before ordering.

Two things follow from that:

  • Fitment information you give us is self-reported and we have no way to verify it from here. Our recommendation is only as reliable as the measurements and photos behind it.
  • You are responsible for confirming that the wheels you order suit your vehicle, your build, and your intended use before you complete your purchase. Reaching out to us first is free, and we would much rather have that conversation than the other one.

Our Refund Policy explains what happens if a set arrives and does not fit, including the cases where the responsibility is ours.

4. Orders, pricing, and payment

Prices are in U.S. dollars. Taxes and shipping are calculated at checkout. Placing an order is an offer to buy; a contract forms when we accept your order and charge your payment method.

Payment is processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We do not store your full card details.

We reserve the right to refuse or limit any order, including orders that appear fraudulent, orders for resale where you are not an authorized dealer, and orders we cannot fulfill.

5. Lead times

Built-to-order wheels take time. The lead time shown on the product page at the time you order is our honest estimate based on current production, not a promise of a delivery date.

Delays happen, most often from material supply, finishing, or freight. We will keep you informed if your order is running long. If you have a hard deadline, a show date, or a car that is coming apart on a schedule, tell us before you order so we can be straight with you about whether it is realistic.

A delay in production is not on its own grounds for cancellation once the 48-hour window in our Refund Policy has passed. If a delay becomes unreasonable, talk to us. We would rather work it out than have you wait in the dark.

6. Shipping, title, and risk

We ship within the United States. Delivery estimates are estimates, and once a shipment is with the carrier, its timing is outside our control.

Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery. Please inspect your shipment on arrival and follow the steps in Section 5 of our Refund Policy if anything looks wrong, especially before signing for freight.

7. Cancellations, returns, and refunds

These are covered in full by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: you can cancel a wheel order within 48 hours for a full refund, after which built-to-order sales are final; in-stock accessories are returnable within 30 days; and damaged, defective, or incorrect items are our responsibility to put right.

8. Defects

We do not currently publish a written warranty, and we would rather say that plainly than invent terms we have not confirmed. What we do is handle defects directly: if a wheel has a genuine structural or finish defect, contact us and we will work it out with you, as described in our Refund Policy.

Nothing in these terms disclaims or limits any implied warranty that applies to our products under California or federal law.

Damage from road hazards, potholes, curbs, collisions, racing or off-road use, improper installation, incorrect tire sizing, over- or under-inflation, harsh chemical cleaners, or disassembly of a multi-piece wheel is not a defect.

9. Installation and safe use

Wheels are a safety-critical part. Have them installed by a qualified professional, use the correct hardware and torque specifications, re-torque after the first drive, and never disassemble or modify a wheel.

We are not responsible for installation work performed by you or by a third party, or for damage or injury resulting from improper installation, modification, or use of our products.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your purchase or use of the site is limited to the amount you paid us for the product the claim relates to. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost time, lost use of a vehicle, towing, storage, rental costs, labor charges, or missed show or event dates.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, for willful injury, or for violation of law. Some states, including California, restrict the exclusion of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Content you send us

If you send us photos of your car or your build, whether through our fitment form, by email, or by tagging us, you keep ownership of them. You give us permission to use them to help with your order, and, where you have submitted them to us for that purpose, in our gallery, marketing, and social media with credit. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will not.

Please only send us images you have the right to share.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. We will update the date at the top when we make changes.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and we both agree to that venue.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
